Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi, also known as Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, and more popularly in the English-speaking world simply as Rumi, was a 13th-century Persian poet, jurist, theologian, and Sufi mystic. Iranians, Turks, Afghans, Tajiks, and other Central Asian Muslims as well as the Muslims of South Asia have greatly appreciated his spiritual legacy in the past seven centuries.

Emomalii Rahmon is a Tajik politician who has served as Tajikistan's head of state since 1992, and as President since 1994. During the early years of his presidency, Rahmon faced a civil war in which up to 100,000 people died. In 2006, he began his third term in office.

Viktor Anatolyevich Bout is a convicted Russian arms smuggler. A citizen of Russia, he was arrested in Thailand in 2008 before being extradited in 2010 to the United States to stand trial on terrorism charges after having been accused of intending to smuggle arms to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia to use against U.S. forces.

Andreas Wolf is a German footballer who plays as a defender for AS Monaco. He had previously played at 1. FC Nürnberg since 2002 and was the team captain, before leaving in the summer of 2011.
